I’ve never done one of these posts, and I guess they’re usually done on 12/31 but I was out hiking, ya know. According to my records, I spent 20 days on day hikes, 41 days on multi-day trips, and 33 days doing trail work. 94 days on the trail altogether – almost exactly a quarter of the year. Not bad, I think.
Who the heck am I?

We went with friends Jan 1 from the Hwy 14 bridge towards Maumee. Only did a couple of miles in and back, Trail was in good shape even after the rains. There was one very muddy area where the trail and road meets and we were all looking at our feet and missed the markers so had to turn around and find it. I would have liked to have gone further but the others were ready to head back. There is always another day. Happy hiking for the new year.
