I hiked the Appalachian Trail…

…for about 2 hours with my brother the morning of his wedding.  We started at the Appalachian Trail Conservancy’s Visitor Center in Harper’s Ferry WV (where we got some good souvenirs) and followed the spur south to the actual trail, then headed east through town, across the Potomac River bridge into Maryland, and followed the old canal next to the river until we ran out of time.

I didn’t see more than a tiny fraction of the 2175 miles but it was a start!

There’s a trail that leads to the top of that bluff where you can creep out onto those rocks for a breathtaking view.  Unfortunately, we didn’t have time.
