With a State Park at its top, Mount Nebo overlooks Russellville and Lake Dardenelle and appears to be a very popular place. There used to be hotels, bowling alleys, stables, and all kinds of other stuff. Now there’s just a visitor center, picnic areas, camp grounds, swimming pool, and many private homes/cabins. There are trails too, but I passed them by this time.
The road to the top (AR 155) is a fun one and has taken the crown for the twistiest-and-turniest away from AR 123 south of Mt Judea. I lost count of the number of switchbacks.

Arkansas has these elaborately-painted bas relief signs for each park. Very cool!

Looking east, I think, from Sunrise Point. The city of Dardanelle should be somewhere in the center with Russellville to the left.

Looking southwest from Sunset Point. I think that’s Mt Magazine on the horizon at left.

Nebo’s next door neighbor – Mt Tater.

Looking over Lake Dardanelle and “Arkansas One” – the nuclear power plant.
